|
|
Hello everyone!
It was a toss up to put this between Off Topic or the actual NWN related forum - and took the gambit, to say it fits better in the NWN forum as it deals directly with NWN.
Okay - so who here knows what Machinima is? If you don't - do you know what RedvsBlue is? Well if you're still confused - long and short of it is using a video game and capturing footage by controlling characters, piecing it together to make a movie, episode, music video, whatever.
Well, Adam and I have been at this for awhile - and we created Neverending Nights - which is a machinima using the NWN game engine! If you frequent Bioware's site (or get their email newsletter) you may have heard of us - we have been interviewed and featured by the kind folks of Bioware!
Anyway, we're all done with Season One, and wrapping up the writing for Season Two - so I figured I'd make my rounds to NWN type forums (or as in this case, sub forum!) - and invite people to visit our site and basically kill our bandwidth (LOL) - and watch Season One of NeN (if ye have not already!) - and prepare for an even better Season Two! (I ask all of ye to not judge us by our first few episodes - even I cringe when I watch those, with the writing, filming, audio, and acting!) But I swear we get better! (Skip to Episode 10 to check! But then go back and watch the other ones - because all the episodes tie together to make one big story!)
If ye have watched NeN before, or if you're new to it, I'd love to hear any feedback (either here or on our site!) We used to have a thread on here before the forum here got a face lift/revamp!

Wow, not been back in forever. My apologies...
Rather than link everything - I will copy and paste the text...
Travis Richards who you probably know as NeN’s Master of Music just sent me the Audio Files for a character he will be voicing in the series by the name of Dimi. There’s a part in there – where he hums something – and I am not sure if it’s intentional or not (I even just emailed and asked him) where he brought me back to memory lane of Johnny Castaway – a screen saver that was sold, eons ago, by Sierra Online (I’d link the actual Sierra Online webpage, but they have been bought out and sold so many times over, that linking to the Sierra Help Pages is far more beneficial to learn more about Sierra’s History).
Not only did he send me those Audio Files for Dimi (which blew me away! He did such a great job with the voice fluctuations!) – but he also send me a MP3 to be used for the first couple of episodes entitled “Prison.” Now he claims he’s not good on the harmonica – (though he also claims he used a +5 Harmonica of Musically) – I can not tell you how much I enjoyed the song “Prison.” It fits so perfectly well and captures the whole bluesy feel of Prison that you think about from the old days!
Travis Richards proves time and time again that his body is housing an incredible amount of talent that needs to be seen and heard by the world. You should check out Travis Richards’s very cool looking website by clicking here. You can also check out and purchase the Neverending Nights Soundtrack that he threw together for a VERY reasonable price by clicking here.

Tonight I met with my oldest friend (not oldest as in age!) Charles Stevens. He voices the lines of a new character in the series who is an Astral Traveler and helps guide our would be heroes for an episode. His wife, Tammy did the voice of our resident Seer who has glimpsed the future of our would be heroes. Their son Matthew plays the role of a young Page to a great warrior by the name of John the Journeyman (played by Alex Dartnall). And finally, their eldest (their daughter) Samantha (”Sami”) plays the role of a Smith, who will pass down knowledge that will be crucial to the final quest that the heroes partake in Season Three.
Still hoping to schedule a time with Adam and Amanda to have them come by to record their lines. They’re essentially the last set of voices I need other than a few minor ones here and there.

2.26.10
Just completed recording the lines with Amiee (the wife) for her role as Amiee the Armorer. Adam and Amanda had to reschedule recording time to this Saturday. So with any luck we can get that done. Shooting for the first week of March as the first release for the new episode of the Season because of this small delay! But still pretty much on track!

3.1.10
Yesterday, Adam and Amanda showed up for the recording session! We began at 11am – and finished at 2:45pm. It took longer than I thought, but that’s because there was a lot of laughing going on. Felt good to have Adam doing the voice of Grayson – and laughing about various lines in the script (it had been the first time that either Adam or Amanda had seen the script – so there were plenty of surprises for them!) I am hopeful that those of you who still follow us and take this journey with us – will find Season 3 a solid, fun, well written season that truly wraps everything up.
Everything from Season 1 and Season 2 all comes together in this nicely woven tale that ends with Season 3! (Could we try to sell this as “The Neverending Nights Trilogy” I wonder?) I will begin working on the episodes beginning this week – and with any luck I may be able to get an episode out (the first one of the new season!) this coming weekend!
Brace yourselves for the end.

3.2.10
I just finished recording the lines for Peter the Ranger! That’s 99% of the voice work completed! And with the main voices recorded, I can begin Neverending Nights! I am in the process of taking a quick break – then off to build the sets I need in the NWN Toolset to begin filming!
It’s happening folks!

For those folks who have heard about the new NEVERWINTER game... We're doing an exclusive interview with them and asked for fan questions!
The folks of NEVERWINTER mentioned us on their Twitter and Facebook page to log onto our forum to ask questions:

Gosh, Tawmis... considering nobody has posted in this thread but you, you have to be the most optimistic person I've ever come across!
